About StatementTable
Converting statements by hand is slow and it goes wrong quietly. The tools that automate it hand you a spreadsheet and leave you to find out. StatementTable checks its own work against the balances the bank printed, and shows you the result.

Why this exists
Retyping a statement into a spreadsheet takes a bookkeeper the better part of an hour for a busy month, and the errors it produces are the quiet kind: a transposed figure, a skipped line at a page break, a debit entered as a credit. None of them announce themselves. They surface in a reconciliation weeks later, when the trail back to the original page has gone cold.
Automation was supposed to end that, and mostly it moved the problem. A converter reads the pages in seconds and returns a table that looks finished. Nothing in it tells you which rows it was sure about, and a converter that cannot show you where it went wrong is asking for the same trust that retyping asked for.
A bank statement carries its own proof. The running balance is the bank's arithmetic, printed on the page. Rebuild it from the transactions you extracted: if it matches, the numbers came across, and if it does not, the row where the chain breaks is the row to look at. That check is cheap, it is decisive, and almost nobody runs it. The product is built around running it on every conversion, including on the free tier, so you are never asked to trust an average taken over somebody else's documents.
How it is built and supported
StatementTable is an independent product with one job: reading bank and credit-card statements and proving the result against the printed balances. Support is answered by the people who write the product, at support@statementtable.com, within one business day.
- A bug report and a fix are one conversation. Send a layout that came out wrong and it goes to the engineers who wrote the extractor, not into a tier-one queue. What changed is published on the changelog.
- Nobody reads your statement. Extraction is automated end to end. There is no support tier with a copy of your file, because there is no copy.
- The roadmap is the real one. What is being built, and what has been declined, is written down on the roadmap in the order it will happen.
- Independent. Not owned by a bank, an accounting platform or a data broker, and not funded by anyone whose interests differ from yours. Nothing about the product is tuned to send you somewhere else.
What we stand behind
- The product reports what it found. A row that breaks the running total is flagged with the difference. A statement with no printed balance to check against says so on the result and in the export. How each case behaves is written down in the help center.
- The test method is published. Every release is validated against a fixed test corpus with known-correct output before it ships. How we test.
- We don't keep your file. It exists only while your conversion runs, then it's deleted. No copy, no archive, no training set.
- Credits don't expire, because a page you paid for is a page you own.
- A person answers support, within one business day.
What the product does not do
- No accuracy percentage in a headline. A number measured on a corpus nobody publishes says nothing about the statement in front of you. The check that runs on your own file does, and three pages a day are free.
- No claim that every bank works. The reader works from the printed table rather than a per-bank template, and the banks page says exactly what that means.
- No invented evidence. No bought reviews, no borrowed logos, no customer counts, no badges from awards nobody won.
- No statement editor. The product reads statements. It does not create, edit or generate them, and it does not attest that a document is genuine.
- No tracking, no data sale. No advertising pixels, no analytics scripts, no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
